Canal+ Le Cube

2 weeks after edit lock was all we had to make this sci-fi adventure come to life. Filmed in the alien landscape of Iceland the project was adapted to work with the short timeline. We didn’t have the luxury to design an overly complicated droid so we used a low poly design so that we could adapt it quickly to the scenes and have a optimal render time. Shots such as the two legged robot machines where created 100% synthetic ahead of the shoot. Design frames were used to validate the look of the alien landscapes which made the matte painting and compositing process very efficient.
