Toyota Rav4

Borel Sigma Design joined forces with acclaimed US studio Stardust to create this one minute online film for Toyota Rav 4. For the Japanese car manufactures, the film promotes the special release of the Rav 4 electric.

Borel Sigma Design worked to create the digital city landscapes in which the compact SUV drives through. François-Xavier Pourre supervised the shoot in LA, while the team in Paris worked to develop the animatic for over a week as well as the 3D backgrounds.

3D reflections were then added to all the live action shots with the car inside the digital universe, while certain shots were created fully in 3D. A seperate team worked purely on the VFX, developing the specific particle and trails effects that appear throughout the film using a mix between Houdini and XSI software.
